I think you might argue that the whole history of third tier brands is the appeal to novelty. If you’re Coors you do some gimmicky repackaging marketing once a year or so. If you’re a smaller house, come up with a gimmicky new name once every year or so. It’s all just beer in the end.
The ingredients may or may not tempt me but a novel name or label can suck me in really quick!
